Our community

We’re a community-minded bunch at Sydney Beach Homes and we are always looking for ways to support local causes and charities as much as we can. We greatly value generosity and feel the real wealth comes from giving back and helping others.

For us, this is an essential part of what we do as a business and fuels our drive for success. The better we perform as a business, the better we are able to lend a hand to the wonderful organisations that dedicate their time and resources to making the world a better place for the people they support.

Here are just a few of the projects we are involved with:

SOUTH CURL CURL SLSC

Living by the ocean, we believe it’s critically important to have a respect and understanding of water safety. One of the best ways to do this is to join the local Surf Life Saving Club. John and Jono have been patrolling the beach at South Curly for more than 20 years now. We were also delighted to support our friends and colleagues at the South Curl Curl SLSC by sponsoring a surf boat in the Ocean Thunder event series.

BURDEKIN

Burdekin is a much-needed not for profit charity that provides a range of support and accommodation services to young people between the ages of 12 and 24 years, and their families. Their aim is to prevent young people from becoming homeless by developing healthy relationships, stable accommodation and establishing goals to secure education or career pathways.

GOTCHA 4 LIFE

Gotcha4Life is an Australian Mental Fitness Charity taking action to engage, educate and empower to end suicide. Their mission is for everyone to have a Gotcha4Life Mate - a go-to person you can rely on and talk to about when times are tough, so no one has to worry alone.

The SBH Directors will again take part in the Gotcha4Life! 24 Hour Row, with South Curl Curl SLSC / South Curly BOATIES, who are participating as a club in the 24 Hour Row for the fourth year running, to ensure that we see the next generation of youth grow up with the tools and support they need to get them through life's challenges.

We know that Gotcha4Life is able to create positive ripples through many communities, as well as our own, but they cannot do it alone, and community fundraising initiatives such as the 24 Hour Row not only raise much-needed funds, but provide our community with the opportunity to come together for a cause that’s very close to our hearts.

Gotcha4Life is a not-for-profit Foundation that funds sustainable educational workshops, training programmes and products building this mental fitness in communities across Australia, to enable strong, open and binding relationships.
